ExperienceI was academic director of the Medical Research and Humanitarian Society while I was in medical school. My responsibilities included organizing discussion classes for the younger students where I tutored most times on several topics and organized pretests for them.
I have taken the GRE test and scored 1200, and I had a perfect score in the IELTS exams which I took on April 14th, 2012 scoring an overall band score of 9.0. I have been a straight A student from my secondary school and that was what motivated me to study medicine.
I am currently rounding off my MSc program in Molecular Medicine and I am currently making a distinction grade. I want to be a tutor because I feel it will offer me the flexibility to finish my project while at the same time enabling me impact the wealth of knowledge I have acquired through years of education. Of course being a tutor will also enable me pay my bills.
I have won several general knowledge quiz competitions in testament to my versatility. Foremost of these was the MEDRHUS ambassador of the year which was an inter faculty quiz competition that I won while in medical school
HobbiesI love singing and I am a member of the local church choir, where I go for rehearsals weekly and sing with the choir on Sundays. I sing the tenor part. I also love going to the cinemas and watching hollywood movies. However, I cannot do without reading novels and my favourite authors are Sidney Sheldon, Jeffrey Archer, Frederick Forsyth, Ken Follett, Dan Brown, Leon Uris,JRR Tolkien and JK Rowlings.
I also love learning about the history and culture of other civilizations and I am an avid fan of the Greeek, Roman and Egyptian ancient civilizations. My sense of geography is superb.
